Jeremywell Pillow Block Bearings

Pillow blocks are the most popular choice of mounted units, providing shaft support. The UCP pillow block mounted bearing series has two bolt holes, and a set screw lock is designed for mounting onto bearing surfaces parallel to the shaft axis, such as conveyor belts. This ready-to-mount unit has solid base cast iron housing, chrome steel bearings, and is designed for efficient operation at a wide range of speeds. This one-piece pillow block housing allows for a stationary outer ring and rotating inner ring. Insert bearing maintains the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. The bearing is secured to the shaft with set screws to prevent slippage. This mounted bearing is used in food and beverage manufacturing, textile industry, and many other industrial manufacturing.

Solid-Base Mounted Bearing

This ready-to-mount unit has a solid base cast iron housing which is manufactured without cavities and fillers, helping eliminate material build-up from under the bearing. A hollow base is susceptible to build-up that can trap moisture and therefore cause corrosion to the cast iron housing. Jeremywell pillow block bearings only come with a solid base, making them stronger and easier to maintain than those with a hollow base.

Self-Alignment Feature

If the bearing is crooked, for example, when laid on a flat table, it is not flat. This is our self-alignment feature. These bearings are meant to have some play. When mounted, use the shaft to rotate the bearing into the proper position. If it is not out of alignment by much, the bearing will correct its own alignment once it starts to rotate. Proper alignment is crucial for high RPM operations to avoid disasters. Our self-alignment feature prevents this from happening.
