How to Use this Electric Fence Tester?
Drive the probe into moist soil, clip the test hook to the fence wire, and read the voltage (kV) on the LCD. Powers on/off automatically. The voltage measurement range is from 300V to 9.9kV (9900 volts), covering most standard agricultural electric fence energizers. The ‘Smart Power’ feature saves battery by automatically waking up when it detects a pulse and shutting down after 4 seconds of inactivity. A reading of 5.5 means your fence voltage is 5.5 kilovolts. For a stable reading, note the value after three consecutive pulses. Yes, it is safe to use with safety features like a finger guard and insulated probe.
