For best results, place the probe directly above or below the cable at a 90° angle.
Can it test RJ45 cables?
The tester cannot test RJ45 cables. It cannot measure covered harnesses but can test automotive cables for shorts and breaks. It can also help locate broken cables. This tester can be used on non-live powered wires after ensuring the power is switched off. If the sound is too low, try finding a stronger signal for testing.
