E-Z Threaded Inserts for Hard Wood. E-Z LOK Thread Inserts for hard-wood are ideal for applications where stripping or thread erosion is possible. Perfect for furniture, partitions, display cases, shipping containers, anywhere a fastener will be used in wood. E-Z Knife thread inserts provide superior holding power using a proprietary external “knife” thread to slice into the wood. They are designed for use in hard woods such as oak, cherry, and maple. Internal thread sizes ranging from #4 to 3/8 and M3 to M10 are available in either brass or stainless steel. Stainless steel is recommended for particularly hard wood and anywhere corrosion resistance is needed.
